Academic Programs
Rooted in Scripture and the Reformed Tradition
Our programs are designed to form pastors, teachers, and leaders through rigorous theological study, faithful scholarship, and Christ-centered instruction.
Master of Divinity (M.Div.)
The Master of Divinity is designed to train students to teach, preach, and minister from the Scriptures with clarity and skill.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree to enroll in the M.Div. program. Students are equipped for Christ-centered, gospel ministry. This program is currently available through credit-based or competency-based programming.
The program covers the core areas of theology, including biblical, exegetical, historical, pastoral, and systematic studies.
Diploma in Biblical Studies
The Diploma in Biblical Studies follows the same curriculum as the Master of Divinity but is designed for students who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree.
Applicants must be able to perform at a high/collegiate level, with strong reading comprehension and clear written and verbal communication skills. Upon completion, students are well prepared for Christian ministry.
While Sangre de Cristo Seminary is not an ordaining body, this program has served as a strong step toward ordination in many Reformed denominations.
The Diploma may be upgraded to a Master of Divinity. See the Student Handbook for details.
